Things I Love: Le Angelique Curling Iron

Le Angelique Inverted Cone Curling Iron

Available all over, though the most popular places are BeautyChoice.com ($69, but there are regularly sales and discount codes if you Google around) and Amazon (the Amazon link is currently sold out , but when it was in stock last month, I paid $39).

What you get in the box: the iron (pictured above) in either black or pink,  a heat resistant glove, and two sectioning clips.

Quite legitimately, this is the single most amazing curling iron I’ve ever used. I’m not sure if it is because of what it is made of, the shape, or magical fairies, but I’ve never had something curl my hair faster, better, or longer lasting. I freaking love this curling iron. Because of the cone shape, this iron is really tremendously versatile; you can do tight springy curls, big bouncy curls, or a mixture of different sized curls all from one iron. All you need is this one iron and a little creativity in how you roll each curl and you can really get some interesting looks.

My hair is naturally wavy to lightly curly and even with some natural curl, most curling irons take forever to give me a curl and it falls out almost instantly. With this iron, I can do my whole head in literally less than 5 minutes. Heck, I did my hair with this iron this morning and in under 5 minutes with no product, I got a big head of curls. Here are some pictures I just took 7 hours later on my camera phone- remember: I literally have no product in my hair today, save for a little shine spray over the top.

Pulling on a springy curl- it popped right back into place.

To do my hair, I just sectioned everything into four big sections, then grabbed 1-2 inch pieces out of each section (thick chunks). I curled everything away from my face on both sides. No hairspray, no mousse, no rootlift, nada. That’s it. 5 minutes and I was out the door.

Anyway, take my advice, do yourself a favor, and get this iron. It will be your new go-to hair tool, trust me!

PS: It just so happens to be extra awesome and have my lovely name. I think that should get me a discount of some sort with the company, but hey, I’m not complaining haha :)
